York Avenue Parking Garages consist of two side-by-side surface-level gated garages reserved for permit holders, managed by a local residents association. Each garage offers 12 bays, including one disabled space per garage, with access controlled by proximity fobs issued to authorized residents. The drive surface is concrete sections with sealed joints for water runoff, inspected yearly for joint erosion and crack repairs. LED bollard lighting is installed at each garage entrance, and one CCTV camera per garage covers the access gates 24/7. No public or visitor parking is allowed; unauthorized vehicles are subject to removal by a contracted towing company. Pedestrian access leads directly onto York Avenue (1-minute walk), with footpaths to local primary schools and community centres within a 5-minute radius. No EV charging infrastructure is provided; residents requiring charging must use on-street chargers located at the junction of Leicester Street and Dodsworth Road, approximately a 7-minute walk away. Quarterly weed removal and general cleaning are performed by resident-appointed contractors.
