Parkwood Springs Car Park is a mid-sized surface-level facility situated atop Parkwood Springs, offering scenic views over northern Sheffield and easy access to walking trails and the Trans Pennine Trail. The lot provides approximately 80 tarmac-surfaced bays, including four accessible spaces positioned closest to the main pedestrian entrance. Operating 7 am to 9 pm daily, parking is free; no payment machines or permits are required. No CCTV coverage or lighting is provided, so the car park is primarily intended for daytime use. A clearly marked footpath leads directly from the lot to the Parkwood Springs Circular Walk and the convenience store at Parkwood Post Office within a three-minute stroll. Local bus stops on Shirecliffe Road connect to Sheffield City Centre and Meadowhall. EV charging is not available on-site; the nearest rapid charger is at NCP Sheffield West Bar, a 15-minute drive away. Covered cycle racks accommodating up to eight bicycles are provided near the trailhead to encourage cycling to the park. Seasonal maintenance includes surface grading and clearing of fallen leaves to prevent slippery conditions.
