Peel Parade Car Park is a retail facility managed by Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, serving the Peel Parade shopping arcade. The surface lot provides 120 sealed asphalt bays, including eight accessible bays adjacent to the covered walkway leading to the shops. Parking is free for up to two hours; after that, a tariff of £1 per hour applies, capped at £8 for 24 hours. Pay-on-foot machines accept coins, notes, and contactless payments, while ANPR cameras enforce the free parking period. LED floodlights illuminate the site from dusk until midnight, and four CCTV cameras provide security coverage. A bus stop outside services routes to Barnsley town centre every 15 minutes, and pedestrian access to the Peel Parade Market is within a one-minute walk. Quarterly maintenance includes line repainting, litter clearance, and pothole repairs to keep the area well-presented.
