Paid parking for Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall access
Pistyll Rhaeadr Paid Car Park is a privately managed tarmac lot located on an unnamed road near Oswestrys northern edge, serving the Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall attraction. The facility provides 50 marked bays, including two Blue Badge spaces and one motorcycle bay. It operates 8 am to 8 pm daily; pay-and-display charges of £3.00 per car for up to three hours, £5.00 for up to six hours, and £7.00 for all-day parking via machines accepting coins and contactless. LED lamp posts provide limited illumination until dusk, and CCTV cameras monitor the entrance only. Pedestrian trails lead directly to the waterfall viewing platform (0.5 km) and to adjacent woodland walks (1 km loop). Benches and picnic tables are available near the lot perimeter. Seasonal peak tourist months (JuneAugust) see the lot fill by mid-morning; overflow parking is signposted to the Tan y Coed Hall overflow lot (2 km). Maintenance crews perform daily litter clearance and biannual surface inspections.
