Free accessible parking for Pontcysyllte Aqueduct visitors
Pontcysyllte Blue Badge Car Park is a free, council-designated tarmac lot on New Road in Trevor, reserved exclusively for Blue Badge holders visiting the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. The facility offers 15 marked bays, all accessible and level-surfaced, with direct ramp access to the visitor centre and aqueduct footpath. It operates 8 am–8 pm daily; no pay-and-display required for Blue Badge holders (display of badge mandatory). LED lamp posts provide illumination until dusk, and CCTV cameras monitor all parking aisles. Pedestrian pathways lead directly to the aqueduct footbridge (0.05 km) and to the visitor centre entrance (0.1 km). Seasonal peak tourist months see the lot fill by mid-morning; additional accessible bays are provided at the main aqueduct car park (0.3 km). Volunteer marshals patrol during busy periods to guide Blue Badge drivers.
