This Broad Street Mall Car Park, managed by Reading Borough Council, is a large multi-level facility offering 550 covered bays, including 30 accessible spaces located on Level 1 near the escalators. Operating 24/7, entry and exit are controlled by ANPR cameras for registered permit holders; casual users collect a ticket at the barrier and pay via pay-on-foot machines accepting coins, banknotes, and contactless payments. The car park is monitored by high-definition CCTV cameras covering all driving lanes, stairwells, and pedestrian corridors. LED floodlighting ensures bright illumination at all times. Pedestrian exits lead directly into Broad Street Malls retail stores, food court, and cinema within a one-minute covered walk. Bus stops on Broad Street provide frequent local services to Reading Station and the Oracle. EV drivers benefit from ten rapid charging points located on Level 2 near the western stairwell. A secure, sheltered cycle rack accommodating up to twenty bicycles is located on Level 1 to encourage sustainable travel.
