Royal Berkshire Hospital Multistorey Car Park is a secure, multi-level facility dedicated to hospital staff, patients, and visitors. The lot offers over 600 covered bays across five levels, including 30 blue badge spaces on Level 1 adjacent to the main hospital walkway. Entry and exit are managed by ANPR cameras for pre-registered staff and permit holders; casual visitors collect a ticket at entry and pay at pay-on-foot machines that accept coins, banknotes, and contactless payments. Operating 24/7, the facility is under continuous CCTV surveillance, with security patrols conducted overnight. LED floodlighting ensures bright illumination on all levels after dark. Pedestrian walkways and covered bridges lead directly to the hospitals main entrance within a two-minute walk. Bus stops on Craven Road provide frequent services to Reading town center and surrounding suburbs. EV drivers benefit from eight rapid charging points located on Level 2 near the stairwell. Secure cycle lockers accommodating up to twenty bicycles are provided on Level 0 for staff and visitors.
