Free parking for Shire Oak Nature Reservedaylight access to woodlands and trails.
Shire Oak Nature Reserve Car Park on Andrews Road is a free, council-managed surface lot serving the adjacent Shire Oak Nature Reserve. The gravel-and-grass facility holds approximately 40 vehicles, including two informal Blue Badge bays near the entrance gate. Open from dawn to dusk (no overnight parking), there is no lighting or CCTV; usage is restricted to daytime hours. A large wooden information board at the entrance displays trail maps, habitat descriptions, and reserve regulations. A marked footpath leads directly from the lot into the reserve within one minute, providing walkers and wildlife enthusiasts with immediate access to mixed woodlands, heathland, and pond habitats. Seasonal guided walks and birdwatching events make the site popular year-round.
