Short Stay Car Park is a council-operated surface lot on Avon Road, serving Cannocks civic offices and nearby retail outlets. The tarmac facility offers 60 marked bays, including three Blue Badge spaces and one motorcycle bay. Open 7 am to 9 pm daily; pay-and-display charges of £0.80 per hour (capped at £3.50 per day) apply from 8 am to 6 pm MondaySaturday via machines accepting coins and contactless. LED lampposts ensure illumination until 10 pm, and CCTV cameras monitor all aisles. Pedestrian exits lead to Cannock Civic Centre (0.1 km), the library (0.05 km), and local shops. Two 7 kW EV chargers are available near the lots southwest corner, billed through a posted phone number. Seasonal craft fairs occupy adjacent Market Place on Sundays, reducing capacity by 20; signage directs drivers to alternative lots. Biweekly maintenance includes litter clearance and bay repainting.
