Paid parking for Shugborough National Trust estate
Shugborough Estate Car Park is a large tarmac facility managed by the National Trust, located off an unnamed lane in Great Haywood. The lot offers 300 marked bays, including ten Blue Badge spaces and four motorhome bays near the entrance. Open 8 am until sunset daily; charges of £4.00 per car apply via pay-and-display machines accepting coins and contactless, or via the National Trust membership card. A barrier closes the site at closing time. LED columns provide illumination until dusk, and CCTV cameras monitor entry and exit. Pedestrian exits lead directly to the estate visitor centre (0.02 km), café, and gift shop. Two 22 kW EV fast chargers are located near the entrance at no extra cost for members. Benches and picnic tables are available near the Tittesworth Lake viewpoint (0.1 km). Seasonal events such as Halloween lantern walks reduce capacity by 50; signage directs overflow to Great Haywood village hall lot (1 km). Maintenance includes weekly litter clearance and bay repainting every spring.
