Smithfield Centre South Car Park is a privately managed surface lot serving the southern wing of The Smithfield Centre retail complex. The tarmac facility offers 200 marked bays, including eight Blue Badge spaces and two motorcycle bays. Open 24/7, parking is free for the first two hours upon validation at any Smithfield retailer; thereafter, a £1.00 per hour fee applies up to a £5.00 daily cap, payable via Pay-by-phone or contactless at machines. LED floodlights illuminate until midnight, and CCTV cameras cover all lanes. Pedestrian access via a covered walkway leads directly to retail floors (0.02 km) and the adjacent cinema complex. Three 22 kW EV chargers on the lots west side serve electric vehicles at a reduced rate for shopping customers. Seasonal weekend markets reduce capacity by 75 spaces; digital signage displays occupancy.
