St Christopher Road Car Park is a council-operated surface lot located in the Highwoods estate, serving local residents and visitors to Highwoods Country Park. The facility provides 80 sealed asphalt bays, including four accessible spaces located adjacent to a clearly marked pedestrian crossing leading to the park entrance. Parking is free of charge for up to three hours; pay-and-display machines accept coins and contactless cards for longer stays, with tariffs of £1 per hour and a £4 daily cap. LED lampposts illuminate all driving lanes from dusk until 10:00 pm, and one CCTV camera monitors the entrance for security. Covered information boards at the entrance display Highwoods Country Park trail maps, nature watch guidelines, and bus schedules for the 74 service to Colchester town centre.
