Central town parking at Station Road with EV charging
Station Road Car Park is a council-operated surface lot serving the town centre and nearby railway station. It provides 90 marked bays including six disabled-access spaces located close to the pedestrian exit. Operating hours are 8 am6 pm MondaySaturday; pay-and-display machines accept coins, contactless, and RingGo; maximum stay of 4 hours. The tarmac surface is inspected monthly, with drainage channels cleared weekly and potholes patched within 48 hours. LED bollard lighting ensures bright illumination during operating hours, and two CCTV cameras monitor entry, exit, and pedestrian paths. Pedestrian routes lead directly to Leatherhead station (3 minutes walk), to Bridge Street shops (4 minutes), and to bus stops on Station Road (1 minute). Two 7 kW Type 2 EV charging bays are available near the payment machines on a pay-as-you-go basis. Weekly litter clearance and monthly hedge trimming maintain a tidy town-centre environment.
