Free riverside parking with accessible bays, illuminated trails, and direct access to Levington Creek walks and sailing club.
Suffolk Levington Car Park is a rural facility managed by Suffolk Coastal District Council, located off the B1084 near Nacton. The lot offers 50 sealed gravel bays, including two accessible spaces located nearest the pedestrian path leading to the Levington Creek riverside walk. Parking is free of charge, with no overnight stays permitted. Solar-powered LED bollards illuminate pedestrian routes from dusk until 9 pm for safety. No CCTV is installed due to low crime rates. Covered notice boards display local walking trail maps, tide times for the River Orwell, and bus schedules. Pedestrian pathways connect directly to the waterfront footpath and Levington Sailing Club within a two-minute walk. Monthly maintenance includes gravel replenishment, line repainting of bay markers, and litter collection to maintain a natural, well-kept environment.
