Swinsty & Fewston Reservoir Car Park is a dual-purpose parking facility located on North Lane, serving both Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs within the Nidderdale AONB. The large, gravelled area holds up to 150 cars, with designated coach bays for organized tour groups. The car park provides direct access to circular walking trails that circle the reservoirsapproximately 4 miles for Fewston and 2.5 miles for Swinstyand is popular for fishing (permit holders only), birdwatching, and picnicking. Amenities include two chemical toilets, a picnic pavilion with benches, and a small information board detailing seasonal wildlife sightings, especially waterfowl. Charges are £4.00 per day on weekends and bank holidays, £2.50 weekdays; payment is via a pay-and-display machine accepting cash and cards (no change facility), or via the national Go-Park Mobile app. The site is accessible 24 hours, but lighting is limited to the main entrance area for safety after dusk. Parking is restricted to 12 hours maximum to ensure turnover.
