Secondary parking for Teardrop Lake recreation.
Teardrop Lakes Car Park (Garforth Place entrance) is a secondary parking facility managed by Milton Keynes Council, located at Garforth Place in Loughton (MK5 8HJ). The gravel-reinforced surface accommodates approximately 50 vehicles, including 4 accessible bays adjacent to the pedestrian path into Teardrop Lakes eastern shore. Parking is free for up to 3 hours; thereafter, charges apply at £1.00 per hour via PayByPhone; Sundays are free. There is no lighting, so parking is restricted to daylight hours (approx. 06:0020:00 during summer). CCTV cameras monitor the entrance and main circulation lane during daytime hours. The reinforced-stone surface is graded quarterly to maintain evenness, and perimeter ditches prevent pooling. A sealed footpath leads to the Teardrop Island regatta area (0.3 miles) and connects via boardwalk to the Willen Lake windsurfing zone. Angling permits are required for coarse fishing; an information board displays local wildlife species and seasonal restrictions. A ranger patrol visits on weekends to assist visitors, especially during sailing events.
