Gravel-surfaced with LED bollard lighting, it is monitored by periodic patrols and CCTV cameras. Positioned at the northern edge of Temple Newsam estate, it serves visitors to the golf course, craft workshops, and woodland trails. Riverside picnic benches and a nature trail start point are accessible within a two-minute walk.
