The Bridges Roof Top Car Park is the uppermost level of The Bridges multi-storey complex, accessible via ramps on the eastern side (postcode SR1 3DR). It features 200 uncovered spaces, including two dedicated EV rapid-charge bays (50 kW), four Blue Badge bays under covered canopy, and multiple parent-and-child spaces. The surface is painted asphalt with clear bay markings; speed bumps and directional signage ensure safe traffic flow. Parking tariffs are identical to the lower levels (£2.50 up to three hours; £10.00 daily), payable at rooftop Pay-On-Foot machines or via mobile app, with free parking for the first 45 minutes upon retailer validation. The roof deck is fully secure with perimeter guardrails, 24-hour LED lighting, and CCTV. Pedestrian egress leads down to level B (retail concourse) via two stairwells and a lift. From this vantage point, drivers enjoy panoramic views of the River Wear and City Metro Bridge. Security patrols occur every two hours overnight. The space is popular for weekend market overflow when lower decks reach capacity.
