The Glass Works Shopper Car Park is a dedicated retail parking facility located behind The Glass Works shopping centre. The site provides 220 marked bays on a sealed tarmac surface, including six accessible bays near the enclosed pedestrian walkway to the malls main entrance. The car park operates on a free-for-two-hours basis for shoppers; after two hours, a tariff of £1.50 per hour applies, capped at £10 per day. ANPR cameras enforce stay limits, and pay-on-foot machines accept coins, notes, and contactless payments. Overhead LED floodlights provide illumination from dusk until dawn, while an array of six CCTV cameras ensures comprehensive security coverage. Nearby amenities include a 14-screen cinema, multiple restaurants, and a bus interchange offering services to Barnsley town centre every 15 minutes. Monthly maintenance includes litter removal, line repainting, and pothole checks to preserve a clean, safe environment for retail patrons.
