The Lawley Car Park is a council-operated gravel lot located on Bur Way in Church Stretton, serving The Lawley hiking trailhead and nearby residential estates. The unmarked facility accommodates approximately 40 vehicles on a first-come basis; open from dawn until dusk; no overnight parking. There is no lighting or CCTV; daytime use only. A large Shropshire Hills AONB information panel at the entrance displays trail maps (6 km and 10 km routes), safety guidelines, and wildlife-spotting tips (e.g., red kites, meadow pipits). Benches and picnic tables are positioned at the lot perimeter overlooking rolling hills. Pedestrian paths lead directly to The Lawley summit trail (0.05 km) and to connecting footpaths toward Carding Mill Valley (5 km). Seasonal guided walks occur monthly between April and October. Maintenance crews clear invasive bracken quarterly and perform litter picks monthly.
