App-based commuter parking with accessible bays, covered cycle shelters, and direct access to Sudbury station.
The Station Car Park is a MiPermit-managed lot offering pay-by-phone parking adjacent to Sudbury railway station, providing 80 sealed asphalt bays. Six accessible bays are located nearest the pedestrian walkway leading to the station entrance for level access. Parking is pay-by-phone only: users register via the MiPermit app and pay £3 for up to 12 hours or £5 for 24 hours, with discounted weekly season tickets available. High-mast LED lighting ensures visibility from dusk until dawn, and four CCTV cameras cover the lot for passenger safety. Covered cycle shelters with capacity for 20 bicycles are located next to the entrance, promoting sustainable transport. Pedestrian pathways link directly to the station platform within a one-minute walk, and a bus stop on Station Road offers hourly services to Ipswich and Cambridge. Monthly maintenance includes line repainting, pothole repairs, and litter clearance.
