Tranwell Car Park is a small, free 45-space surface lot serving the Tranwell community and nearby shops along Windy Nook Road. Open 7 am7 pm MondaySaturday; free overnight and Sundays. The gravel surface is graded bi-annually to prevent rutting, and lined bays are marked using durable painted markers. Two accessible bays with firm paved surfacing and dropped kerb access are adjacent to the main pedestrian exit onto Windy Nook Road. No formal lighting is installed to maintain a low-light environment; local lampposts provide ambient illumination after dusk. A single CCTV camera mounted on a village hall exterior covers the entrance and accessible bays. In 2024, a new drainage ditch was dug along the eastern boundary to manage stormwater runoff. Pedestrian signage directs users to the nearby community center and local bus stops. Bi-monthly litter clearance and minor pothole repairs keep the site in good condition.
