The UHCW Visitors Blue Badge Car Park is a designated surface-level lot for Blue Badge holders visiting University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire, offering 40 marked bays including eight extra-wide spaces nearest the hospital entrance. Entry is via an automatic barrier that opens upon scanning a valid Blue Badge; no payment is required but users must register at a pay station on entry. LED column lighting ensures safe navigation during early mornings and late evenings, and two CCTV cameras monitor entry, exit, and pedestrian pathways. The asphalt surface is slightly graded toward a central drain; maintenance inspections occur quarterly, with minor repairs completed within 48 hours. Pedestrian pathways lead directly to the hospital main entrance (1-minute walk) and to covered walkways to outpatient clinics (2 minutes). No EV charging facilities are provided; Blue Badge drivers may park briefly and use EV chargers at Car Park A or Car Park B. Weekly litter clearance and perimeter hedge trimming ensure a tidy environment.
