The Maternity Parking lot is a reserved surface facility for expectant mothers and immediate family visiting the UHCW Maternity Unit. It offers 50 marked bays including ten extra-wide, accessible spaces located directly in front of the Maternity Entrance. Users must display a valid Blue Badge or hospital-issued permit; no other visitors are permitted. The lot operates 24/7, illuminated by LED column lights and monitored by two CCTV cameras covering entry, exit, and the pedestrian path. The tarmac surface is sloped to internal drains, with quarterly inspections and pothole repairs within 48 hours. Pedestrian access leads directly to the Maternity department doors (1-minute walk); covered walkways connect to adjacent neonatal and antenatal clinics (2 minutes). No EV charging stations exist on-site; Blue Badge holders may transfer to Car Park A where charging bays are provided. Weekly litter collection and trim of surrounding hedges keep the lot tidy.
