Whickham Cricket Club Car Park is a free, grass-reinforced facility located on Corsair Road, Whickham (NE16 4NA), adjacent to the cricket ground. The lot accommodates approximately 80 vehicles, including two informal disabled-access spots on level ground near the club entrance. There is no lighting, so parking is restricted to daylight hours (approx. 06:0021:00 in summer), and no CCTV coverageusers park at their own risk. A sealed footpath leads directly to the pavilion and main cricket square (50 m), where weekend league matches and junior training sessions are held from April through September. The grass-reinforced surface is graded twice yearly to maintain evenness, and perimeter ditches prevent waterlogging during heavy rain. Signage at the entrance details club membership information and ground rules, including no parking on adjacent residential roads during matches. A volunteer groundcare team ensures the playing outfield is protected by erecting temporary barriers during busy events.
