Paid parking with EV charging at Yorkshire Sculpture Park
Yorkshire Sculpture Park Visitor Car Park is a paid, charity-run tarmac facility located at the main entrance to the park, serving one of the UKs leading open-air sculpture galleries. The lot offers 400 marked bays, including 20 Blue Badge spaces near the visitor center and four motorcycle bays. It operates 9 am6 pm daily; pay-and-display charges of £5.00 per day for non-members apply via machines accepting coins, contactless, and membership cards. LED floodlights ensure full illumination until dusk, and CCTV cameras monitor all driving lanes. Pedestrian exits lead directly to the visitor center entrance (0.05 km), café (0.1 km), and main sculpture trails. Four 22 kW EV fast chargers are installed at the lots south side, free for members and billed at standard rates for non-members. Seasonal blockbuster exhibitions can see capacity reached by mid-morning; signage directs overflow to the Lindley Wood Road car park (2 km). Weekly maintenance includes line repainting and litter clearance.
