Thornton Square Car Park is a private, app-managed tarmac facility located on Thornton Square, serving residents and office workers in Macclesfield Town Centres Thames Wharf redevelopment. The lot offers 80 marked bays, including six Blue Badge spaces near the public walkway and one motorcycle bay. Access is restricted to hourly bookings via the YourParkingSpace app; no cash payments are accepted. LED floodlights provide full illumination until midnight, and CCTV cameras monitor all entry and exit points. Pedestrian exits lead directly to Thornton Square residences (50 m), nearby café units (100 m), and shuttle bus stops on Liverpool Road (150 m). Two 7 kW EV chargers are available free for app users for the first hour, then £0.30 per kWh, billed via the app. Seasonal residential open days reduce capacity by 10%; signage directs overflow to Waters Green Car Park (1 km). Maintenance crews repaint bay lines quarterly and clear litter weekly.
