Located off Plains Road, this council-managed surfaced lot offers 60 bays for residents of the Colwick industrial estate and visitors to local businesses. Operating hours are 7 am9 pm MondaySaturday (free Sundays), with a pay-and-display tariff of £0.80 per hour, capped at £5 per day, payable via machines accepting coins, card, contactless, or via PayByPhone. Three accessible bays (3.6 m wide) are within 10 m of the raised pedestrian crossing to Plains Road shops, featuring drop-kerb ramps and tactile paving. The tarmacadam surface was resurfaced in mid-2023, and thermoplastic bay markings were repainted in early 2024. Uniform LED column lighting ensures safe navigation after dusk, while two CCTV cameras monitor all entry, exit, and aisles. In 2024, a 7 kW EV charging point was installed near the accessible bays, available via the Pod Point app. Perimeter shrub beds assist with runoff and provide a visual barrier to adjacent warehouses. Directional signage inside the lot guides drivers to the exit onto Plains Road. Monthly maintenance includes pay machine servicing, litter clearance, and drainage gully cleaning.
