Needham Street Parking is an on-street facility offering 30 bays serving Binghams residential and shopping district. Operating hours are 8 am to 6 pm MondaySaturday (free Sundays), with a tariff of £0.50 per hour and a daily cap of £3, payable via the PayByPhone app or the coin-and-card parking meter. One accessible bay (3.6 m wide) is positioned within 5 m of the dropped-kerb pedestrian crossing to the local library, featuring tactile paving. The asphalt surface was overlaid in early 2024, and thermoplastic bay markings refreshed in late 2024. LED streetlamps on 8 m poles provide uniform illumination after dusk, while a single CCTV camera mounted on a lamppost monitors all parking bays during operational hours. In 2024, kerb edges were reprofiled to improve drainage and prevent pooling. Directional signage on the street reminds drivers of maximum stay limits. Monthly patrols by parking enforcement officers ensure compliance and assist disabled users.
